Don’t panic, nothing is broken when this light appear.
The small ECO light on left is an indicator that you are driving optimally for best fuel economy. This light goes On and Off in direct relation of how you drive.
This is different from ECO MODE button/light on right side of the Speedmeter panel which is to put the car in ECO driving mode.
There are 3 “Drive modes”: Normal, Eco and Sport.
The Eco Mode does dampens the smaller slow throttle changes and decreases hunting between gears. When the throttle is pressed quickly and further, the engine and transmission respond more like normal mode.
Selecting the Sport Mode does make the “Eco-Drive” light disappear as it is not a fuel efficient mode.
