Uganda Roadworthy Inspection for Used vehicles for Republic of Uganda.

As the regulation changes often and it is difficult to stay up to date.
This latest change is official and in place as of 11th of March 2019.

All used vehicles exporting for Uganda require an EAA (this is the name of the officially appointed and accredited inspection company) Certificate of Conformity (COC) to comply with import regulations on arrival in Uganda.

It is performed in the following countries:
Japan, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Singapore and South Africa.

The requirements for a valid EAA certificate of compliance are:

  • Vehicle age limits: Less than 15 years (at the time of passing the inspection)
  • Vehicle drive: Can be either Right-Hand or Left-Hand drive
  • Roadworthiness Inspection: Conform to Uganda National Standard (US845:2017)

The inspection must be paid at the time of order and paying for the vehicle.
